However being seated in the open does provide some fodder for my voyeuristic soul. It is interesting listening to the adventures of gals on the other side of divide. They can’t see me & don’t know that I am eavesdropping. A motley bunch of three odd females, they share the common fetish for gossiping. One of them had been to an outstation visit, one had been shopping & one to in-laws. But they sure are candid about their stuff – the fatter one can’t stop bragging about shoe discounts in Jaipur, shorter one can’t convince all about visiting Nainital while the newly married one can’t stop telling joys of having sex after drowning in vodka!
Phew this is a heady cocktail, better return to my presentation

Today’s Mall was not so bad after all. It had a fair sprinkling of all brands that you find on billboards, good collection of casuals, Gucci watches, sportswear, formal blazers, colorful kids section etc. kids especially have a blast at these Malls. My friends’ pup always insists on going to a Maawwl (in her lingo & tone) & would always have a great time, unusually behaving & curbing her irate mannerisms, much to her parents delight.
Btw I will be visiting another Mall in the evening. Have to buy a few gifts & later treat my shriveled tongue for a cappuccino at Barista, which reminds of another fad these days –to work out of cafes like Barista & CCD at weekends. I wonder how many bloggers would be posting from their laptops at these cafes. Perhaps it gives a better ambience to work your grey cells & give an enriched, online output. One thing I can vouch for is that the cafes certainly do give a fair surrounding for a coffee & smoke, if not blogging.

First things first. Let me begin by what has caught my attention & imagination since last evening. We had guests at our place last evening ( don’t know why they were invited ), I was asked to fetch some edibles from store down below, so was on my way down & eventually back upstairs when I came across a young couple residing in the apartment below our floor. I know both of them, but not so pretty well. The man is a director in a software firm, while the girl is VP in Bharti Walmart. They were having their own arguments about cooking, babies etc when the gal started calling him names. The man relatively ignored her remarks & smirked at her grievance when, suddenly out of the blue, the gal landed two kicks on his butt. I didn’t know what to say & thankfully my floor came soon enough.
Whoa now have four days off & don’t know what to do. Perhaps may go out tomorrow for some book reading/shopping; my boss’ secretary has promised to take me out on Saturday night when her boyfriend returns from abroad; Toastmasters is having a bash on Sunday evening. So that pretty much takes care of these hols.
Yuppie I also got my bonus this week. I knew I would be getting this week, but was surprised when my boss called me in his cabin on Monday & applauded my efforts (he is such a darling! Wish I could take him everywhere).
Wanted to put this here last night only, but then I got surfing & discovered something which I always wanted to see. It was uncensored version of threesome from WildThings, perhaps one of the hottest scenes ever on screen. The threesome in first edition was a runaway hit, so the next two parts also had wild threesomes, which are more macabre. I wanted to sleep early but hit the bed late watching Matt Dimon enjoy Neve Campbell & Denise Richards with champagne as an accessory.

Attending the annual employee day event yesterday was fun. Not that I enjoyed too much or had too much of a good time, but was a decent affair by all standards. In organizations like mine, which sometimes resemble an old age home, having extravagant bashes may not be the order of the day but family affairs which resemble Diwali mela of small towns may be more welcomed. I initially envied all employees working in flashy organizations, which had these frequent parties but now find my workplace more soothing. Guess office entertainment also has some connection with the age bracket of employees.
Pics of bashes, or in more appropriate lingo office parties, are widely circulating in the Net , perhaps they also add to the popularity of the workplace. Promoting organizations by participating in great places to work surveys is one, but the more informal way of spreading these photographs, also adds to the appeal, if you are targeting a younger work force. I remember seeing pics of parties at Wipro, Pune & Dell, Bangalore. Both had scantily clad females indulging in inexplicable acts. I guess if allowed, some would have also liked to attend topless, seeing they left so little to imagination. Many things were seen in abundance in those pics – booze, cigarettes & smooches. For one our country has come way forward in these demonstrations. I vividly remember my school days, about 10 years back, when everyone would blush at the prospect of having their first smooch (I didn’t have any with those lovely chics, gosh missed out). These days school girls in my apartment know the taste of many of their classmates mouths. It was outrageous for many girls to smoke during my days, now paanwaala outside Priya cribs how young girls are chosy for Silk Cut.
I wonder at this rate how office parties of NextGen will be like. Perhaps they may have poolside parties in bikinis & shorts, morning after pills may be distributed along with party invites, and couples opting for marriage over live-in may be prized after. Oh lord, why was I born so much earlier?
